Many enthusiasts and analysts were disappointed when Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5, mainly because its design was so similar to previous flagship smartphones. The majority of the 5.1-incher is made of plastic and outfitted with a soft plastic backing. Even though the company successfully sold over 11 million units in its first month, Samsung is in need of a new ‘premium’ smartphone.
Several leaks suggest the Galaxy F is the new direction and will come with a thinner bezel, larger display, faster processor and a metal body. Earlier today, via @evleaks, another shot of the anticipated device has found its way online and shows the metal frame with the familiar physical home button.
The rumoured specs include a 5.3-inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16MP camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), 32GB of internal storage, water and dust resistance, fingerprint scanner and a heart rate sensor. There is no word yet on an official release date or pricing.
