Is this Sony’s upcoming flagship smartphone? Possibly. A set of images has founds its way online that claim to be the Xperia Z3, the successor to the Xperia Z2. The overall design looks similar to the previous Xperia hero devices (Xperia Z1 and the Z2), but these images show a device with the edges a bit more curved.
As for specs, these images reveal the rumoured device running Android OS 4.4.4 KitKat and sports a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 graphics. The backing shows Sony will use the same camera found in the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2 with a 20.7MP Exmor sensor with G Lens. The usual ports are there with the 3.5mm headphone jack, micro SD, micro SIM and micro USB. While one of the pics compare the Z3 next to the Galaxy Note, there is no word on the size of the display, nor the battery size. Sony will most likely announce its new flagship at the upcoming Berlin-based IFA conference in September.
