Google has officially kicked off pre-orders for the Nexus 9 tablet, which was designed and manufactured by HTC.
This runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and packs in a 8.9-inch IPS LCD display (resolution of 2048 × 1536), a 2.3 GHz 64-bit dual-core Tegra K1 processor, comes with either 16GB or 32GB of storage, an 8MP camera with a 1.6MP front-facing camera, HTC BoomSound speakers, and a respectable 6,700 mAh battery. Overall dimensions are 153.68mm x 228.25mm x 7.95mm with a weight of 425 grams for the WiFi version, or 436 grams for the LTE variant.
The Nexus 9 officially launches on November 3rd, but for those Canadian interested in pre-ordering will see these prices:
- 16GB WiFi (black, white): $429.99 (CDN)
- 32GB WiFi (black, white): $529.99 (CDN)
- 32GB With Wi-Fi & LTE (black or white): $669.99 (CDN) (Still shows as ‘coming soon’)
In addition, Google and HTC have also designed the Nexus 9 Cover, which will be available soon for $45 (CDN) in Black, Mint Indigo, and Lime Stone.
