Rogers has snatched away the former President of Cisco Systems Canada to head its Enterprise Business division.
Nitin Kawale has lead Cisco’s Canadian division since 2008 and the appointment came directly from Guy Laurence himself as part of his new Rogers 3.0 plan.
“Business customers in Canada are currently underserved and we’re going to change that. We’re serious about helping businesses use technology to be more productive and efficient. Nitin’s track record for innovating and building relationships across the business community will be key assets as we execute on our Rogers 3.0 plan. He’ll be a great contributor to Rogers and the executive team,” said Laurence.
As the consumer market slows for high-end smartphones, Rogers and its competitors will increasingly turn to the small- to medium-business segment, as many companies purchase hundreds of smartphones and high data-usage plans in bulk.
