Sony recently announced its first Android Wear smartwatch, the Smartwatch 3, telling us it would be launching later this year. While we are still uncertain of a specific date, Google Play is now showing the Sony Smartwatch 3 as “coming soon,” joining the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live. It will cost $279.99 CDN.
The Smartwatch 3 is dubbed “a state-of-the-art smart watch and life logging accessory,” which joins several other manufacturers in releasing a wearable running Google’s Android Wear. The smartwatch comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, a 1.6-inch 320×320 LCD display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, a 420mAh battery, and dimensions of 36mm x 10mm x 51mm. It is also rated IP68 waterproof.
The Samsung Gear Live is currently selling for $219.99 and the LG G Watch is listed for $249.99.
