If you’re still looking for an invitation to try Google’s newest email app, Inbox, tonight’s your lucky night. The company has opened up the floodgates and is accepting any application for invites that are sent between 6pm and 7pm ET today.
Word comes via the official Inbox Twitter page, which tweeted today that anyone registering their interest with inbox@google.com between 3pm and 4pm PT would get their invite by 5pm PT. That means if you submit your request before 7pm ET, you’ll get your invite by 8pm and you can spend the evening getting to know Google’s new interpretation of email on mobile.
Already, people are taking advantage of this one-hour open season on Inbox invites. Google has since tweeted that some users’ emails are bouncing. The search giant says that if this happens to you, you should keep trying. As long as that email sends before 4pm PT/7pm ET, you’ll get an invite. Good luck!
Update: This Inbox extravaganza is now over. Did you manage to score an invite?
