KNOX has been a major security initiative for Samsung this year, clearing 1 million active users in February, and partnering with Google to offer basic KNOX features to all Android Lollipop devices.
Today, Samsung has partnered with BlackBerry to integrate KNOX into BES12, BlackBerry’s enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution. The integration will allow IT admins to manage Samsung Galaxy devices with KNOX via BES12, providing the benefits of both platforms (separation of personal and business data, Android-specific security enhancements, etc.).
As part of the agreement, Samsung will resell BES12 to joint customers, and BlackBerry will offer KNOX support to BES12 Gold subscribers. Pricing details will be announced with availability, which is expected to be early 2015.
