Back in August, PayPal announced its One Touch service, designed to make it easier for consumers to pay for goods on their mobile, and for merchants to accept those payments. The service is powered by mobile payment platform Braintree, another eBay-owned company acquired last year for a cool $800 million USD.
At that time, the launch was limited to a developer beta for select merchants. After going public in the U.S. in September, the service is now being rolled out to Canada, as well as France, Australia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. PayPal One Touch is available for both iOS and Android.
Braintree says that it hopes to have PayPal One Touch available in all 43 markets that it serves soon.
