The BlackBerry Classic has already seen a fair share of pre-launch buzz before its upcoming launch on December 17th. We’ll be in NYC for the big event and bring you all the finer details and hands-on treatment.
It’s already known that Rogers, Bell and Virgin will bring the Classic and its “belt” row of function buttons to Canadians. The no-term and unlocked price is $499 via ShopBlackBerry, but no word yet on what the carriers will come to market with for the 2-year contract price.
However, a step forward for the imminent release of the upcoming BlackBerry flagship as employee training will start next week. An internal Rogers document is building hype, stating “the market is already buzzing about the impending release of the BlackBerry Classic smartphone. We have the information you need to quickly get ready for this device that combines the features people have long loved about BlackBerry devices with the power of BlackBerry 10 operating system.”
The Classic is “crafted from premium materials and designed for reliability and durability.” As for specs, this will run OS 10.3.1, have a 3.5-inch display with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 2515mAh battery, an 8MP camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and weigh in at 178 grams.
