We’re less than two weeks away from the official launch of the BlackBerry Classic and carriers are well into their preparations for the phone’s arrival. We received word that Rogers would start training employees next week and earlier this week, Bell pushed live its teaser page for the Classic.
We were still missing one key piece of information, though. While we already know that the phone will cost about $500 outright, none of the major carriers have announced details of on-contract pricing. According to this image from Bell’s website shows the 2-year contract pricing for the Classic to be just shy of $50.
The BlackBerry Classic will go on sale December 17th and will feature a 3.5-inch display, a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 2515mAh battery, an 8MP camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and Blackberry OS 10.3.1.
Update: According to sources, Rogers is also on board with the $49.99 2-year contract price point. This BlackBerry Classic will be available on December 17th in black.
