Smartwatches were a plenty at CES 2015 this year. It seems everyone is entering the wearable space and making a place for a spot on your wrist. While LG, Guess, Misfit, and Alcatel all unveiled a round smartwatch, many are still waiting for Samsung to come out with its round timepiece. This might happen next month.
According to SamMobile, Samsung might be preparing to announce the “Orbis,” which has the model number SM-R720. Orbis means circle or orb and apparently Samsung will shed the square design for a round Gear smartwatch. The complete specs are not known but it will be powered by Tizen, not Android Wear.
The report indicated Samsung will launch this at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in March.
