One of the most fun wearables to come out of CES was Alcatel OneTouchâs cross-platform compatible smartwatch, the OneTouch Watch.
Though the company was happy to show off the watch during our meeting in Vegas, reps stopped short of confirming when the device would come to Canada. The most we could get out of anyone was that it would be sometime in the next few months.
Fast forward a month and it seems prep for the Canadian launch is moving along quite nicely. The Alcatel OneTouch Canada website now bears a large OneTouch Watch emblazoned with the words, âcoming soon.â
Unfortunately, the page offers no other information, so we still have no idea as to when weâll see the device on shelves. Still, it shouldnât be too long before pre-orders are live. For now, youâll have to make do with registering your interest via email submission.
The Alcatel OneTouch Watch supports both iOS and Android thanks to its RTOS, shows notifications from your phone, monitors your heart rate during workouts, and counts steps and stairs. It also features a compass, alarm functionality, music controls, remote shutter support, is water resistant, and has built-in NFC. It charges via any USB port thanks to a unique USB connector concealed in the band.
