OnePlus released its OnePlus One six months ago and the company has sold approximately 1 million units. Initially ordering one of the customized Androids was available through an invitation, or via one of their wacky promotions.
Today, OnePlus believes that “great things should be shared” and while the company isn’t ridding the pre-order process, it is making Tuesdays somewhat special. According to its blog, starting tomorrow OnePlus will open up sales for 24 hours and offer the device without an invite in both 16GB Silk White and 64GB Sandstone Black.
This could be a way to create hype and possibly clear out inventory of the OnePlus One to make room for the upcoming OnePlus Two, which is expected to arrive sometime in Q2.
