Mobile World Congress is just a few weeks away, a time when many manufacturers unveil new products for 2015. We can expect new smartphones, smartwatches, tablets and even newly designed smart glasses. Samsung, Huawei and HTC will show off “what’s next,” but LG, which just announced its LG Watch Urbane, is reportedly saving its flagship smartphone for a separate event in April.
According to a report by the Korea Times, LG is tipped to launch the LG G4 in April. “LG Electronics decided not to release the G4 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) exhibition in Barcelona in March… It may release it in April,” said the source. The reasoning was apparently because “MWC was not the right place to show off the G4 because Samsung will unveil its Galaxy S6 there. He said LG will wait until it is fully ready.”
LG announced the G3 on May 27th last year, which came to Canadian carriers a few months later on August 1st, so there could be truth to the rumour. The G4 is tipped to include a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1620×2880.
