A teaser video released by Samsung earlier this week pointed towards a longer battery life, wireless charging and a faster recharge in the “Next Galaxy.” The company slightly indicated that its upcoming flagship will also sport a faster processor by noting, “The faster I am, the more that gets done. And the more time I can give to others.”
There has been several rumours relating to the battery capacity of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, tipped to be between 2,400 mAh and 2,600 mAh. If you believe the latest round, courtesy of some insider who snapped images from a Samsung factory, it pegs the GS6/S6 Edge with a 2600mAh cell, which is lower than the Galaxy S5 at 2800 mAh, or the same as the Galaxy S4.
The Galaxy S6 is also rumoured to have a 14nm Exynos 7420 processor, which consumes less power. In addition, some of the “special features” that might show up in the GS6 is less bloatware and apps running in the background.
Samsung has scheduled March 1st for its Mobile World Congress keynote presentation and will be live streaming the event on YouTube, and we’ll also bring you hands-on from the event.
