Like clockwork (or an Apple Watch), Google releases its monthly Android distribution list for developers, and media people, to obsess over.
This month, Lollipop has finally risen above the 5% mark, hitting 5.4% between 5.0 and 5.1. KitKat still has a slightly larger presence, at 41.4%, than Jelly Bean cumulatively which, between the three versions, has 40.7%.
Gingerbread is slowly dying, thank goodness, but retains a stubborn 6.4%, while Ice Cream Sandwich, which many developers are seeing as just as big a problem as Gingerbread, is holding steady at 5.7%.
Compared to last month, Lollipop is up an impressive 2.1%, while KitKat rose a scant 0.5%.
