A week after Instagram updated its own app to allow the uploading and display of high resolution photos, Twitter-owned Vine is following suit.
“With this release, we’ve also introduced a new quality setting that you can use to have your Vines posted in HD. Tap on the Settings gear from your profile page, and then tap on ‘Your Content’ to see this new option,” says a sentence toward the end of a blog about a new account finding feature.
While it’s not quite the same jump in visual fidelity as Instagram’s update, Vine is now letting users upload videos at something resembling 720p.
No word on when Android users can expect this upgrade.
In the meantime, please enjoy this Vine. It’s not in sweet high-definition, but it’s sure to brighten your day.
