Bell expands LTE-Advanced coverage into British Columbia and Alberta

Bell has been slowly rolling out its new LTE-Advanced network since June. Today, the carrier announced it has expanded coverage to several new Canadian locations. First launched in Toronto, London, Fredericton, Sydney, Charlottetown and Halifax, faster download speeds are now live in Edmonton, Medicine Hat, Penticton, Summerland, Vancouver and Victoria.

LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) brings theoretical download speeds of up to 220 Mbps, but realistically the average is 12 Mbps to 60 Mbps. The current list of compatible devices are limited to the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, Note 4 Edge, LG G4 and the HTC One M9.
