According to the latest stats from Google, Android 5.0 and 5.1 Lollipop together power 18.1 percent of devices visiting the Google Play Store.
While many Canadians received the latest version of Lollipop, such as the HTC One M9 and Moto X, several are still waiting for their devices to receive the important upgrade. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S5, S6, and S6 edge are all tipped to receive Android 5.1 sometime in September — or if you’re a Rogers customers it’s perpetually “coming soon.”
A glimpse of hope for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 owners as Telus has updated its “Software Update Schedule” page, listing the fourth-gen device as set to receive the Lollipop update next month. Unfortunately, there’s no specific date, and Telus says, “all dates are approximate and subject to change.”
