The ASUS Zenfone 2 quickly sold out at several Canadian retailers when it launched back in May. However, not one to be too late to the party is big box retailer Staples, which has just made room on its shelves for the Asus-made smartphone. The Android Lollipop device is available unlocked in silver, black, gold and red, and starts at $255 for the 16GB version, or $379 for the 64GB model.
This dual-SIM device features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 13MP rear-facing camera, 5MP front-facing camera and a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. Under the hood, depending on which model you opt for, is either a 1.8Ghz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage, or a more powerful 2.3Ghz quad-core model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.
The ZenFone 2 can access any of the LTE networks in Canada. It also supports AWS-based HSPA+ on networks like Wind, Mobilicity, Videotron and others.
