The new iPhones are officially available in Canada.
Apple and its carrier partners have begun selling the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in four colours — Space Grey, gold, silver, and rose gold — and three storage sizes, 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.
While the devices look similar to their predecessors, there are some major changes to the external materials and internal specs. The phones ship with harder aluminum and glass, faster processors, more RAM, improved front and back cameras, and a new pressure-sensitive layer under the screen that enables 3D Touch, Apple’s new marquee “S” feature.
The new iPhones are available unlocked through the Apple Store starting at $899 CAD for the 16GB iPhone 6s, $1029 for the 64GB model, and $1159 for the 128GB version. The iPhone 6s Plus starts at $1029 for the 16GB model, $1159 for the 64GB model and $1289 for the 128GB model.
The devices are being sold by nearly every Canadian carrier, including Telus, Rogers, Fido, Bell, Virgin Mobile, Videotron, SaskTel, Eastlink, MTS.
