After coming to Canada in April, Apple is expanding Apple Watch distribution beyond just its retail stores. Already available at Best Buy, the wearable will soon be offered at carrier stores around the country.
We are hearing that most carriers will offer the device. In a statement to MobileSyrup, SaskTel noted, “We are thrilled to be selling Apple Watch at 17 SaskTel Stores and Authorized Dealer locations soon. We believe Apple Watch will be one of the hottest gifts for the holiday shopping season.”
It’s unclear which models will be offered at the carrier level, but it will likely be a more limited cross section of the aluminum Watch Sport and stainless steel Apple Watch.
Update: Telus has now confirmed it will also release the Apple Watch, noting in an email, “We are thrilled to be selling Apple Watch at TELUS in-store and online soon. We believe Apple Watch will be one of the hottest gifts for the holiday shopping season and plan to have it available at 24 locations by the end of the year.”
