One week after the release the OnePlus X’s OxygenOS 2.1.2 update, the most recent addition to the OnePlus family is being updated to OxygenOS 2.1.3.
Although an incremental upgrade, this over-the-air update includes a variety of feature additions to the OnePlus X’s microSD card functionality. First and foremost, OnePlus says it has polished the overall experience of managing external storage on the phone, adding support for cards formatted in exFAT. It’s also now possible to move apps to and from the microSD card.
Not related to SD card functionality, this OTA also includes a variety of unspecified bug fixes, performance improvements and security updates.
According to OnePlus, Oxygen 2.1.3 is rolling out incrementally to about 10 percent of the OnePlus X user base to start. The company says it’s doing this so that it can quickly resolve any issues with the update should they crop up.
OnePlus promises more feature additions will be pushed to the OnePlusX in the near future. It has also said it plans to update the smartphone to Marshmallow as “soon as possible”.
