LG’s unique V10 smartphone will not come to Canada, the company announced today. “Unfortunately, there aren’t any plans to bring the V10 to Canada. We encourage you to check out some of other amazing phones, like our flagship LG G4,” said a representative for LG in response to a question about the phone’s Canadian availability on the company’s Facebook page.
Originally announced on October 1, the V10 is notable for its 2.1-inch 160 x 1040 “second screen” display, which sits right above its main 5.7-inch QHD IPS panel. The alternative display provides the user with information on the time, date, weather and current status of the phone’s battery, as well as provides quick access to their favourite apps.
If you’re interested in scoring the V10 you can probably find one unlocked and hook it up to your carrier of choice (the device supports Category-6 LTE Advanced download speeds).
The V10 also sports a Snapdragon 808 SoC, 4GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera with extensive manual controls for photos and videos, a 3,000mAh replaceable battery, 64GB of internal storage, running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
