The TTC has rolled out free Wi-Fi at Sherborne and Castle Frank stations.
Launched late last week, this brings the total number of TTC stations where free Wi-Fi is available to 20. This also means Wind Mobile customers can use their phones at two additional stations.
TTC spokesperson Brad Ross told local Toronto website blogTO that the transit organization will likely have an announcement regarding wider coverage sometime next week.
Initially launched in late December, the TTC and partner BAI Canada have slowly built out the transit network’s Wi-Fi coverage. In the first six months of availability, more than 200,000 unique users accessed the TCONNECT network.
