HTC’s outlook for the year hasn’t been so great, but the company is hoping to turn its fortunes around in the next couple of months. HTC has already said it won’t be releasing a new flagship smartphone at Mobile World Congress, but that doesn’t mean the company came to Barcelona empty-handed.
HTC unveiled the new Desire lineup today, expanding its mid-range offerings with three new devices that look fashionable while still featuring interesting technology.
The HTC Desire line for 2016 consists of the Desire 530, 630 and 825, which come with 720p displays and run 5 inches for the 530 and 630, and 5.5 inches for the 825. The 825 is decidedly the highest specced phone of the bunch, with 2 GB of RAM and a quad-core 1.6 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor. The 630 and 825 both sport 13 MP rear cameras, while the 530 comes with a lesser 8 MP rear camera.
All three phones come with 16 GB of storage, expandable to up to 2 TB via microSD, and will be available in March, though Canadian availability is still up in the air.
