After Microsoft announced the 2TB Xbox One S will be available in Canada on August 2nd, the same day Windows 10’s anniversary update comes out, many Canadians were left wondering when the 500GB and 1TB versions of the new console would make their way to store shelves around the country.
Turns out we didn’t have to wait long to find out the answer to that question; the company today announced three new bundles Canadian consumers can pre-order ahead of their August 23rd ship date.
To start, there’s the $399 Halo collection bundle, which includes a 500GB Xbox One S, Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a compilation that includes remastered versions of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4.
Then there are two 1TB bundles, both of which are priced at $449. The first one includes the same Halo 5 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection combination found in the 500GB bundle, while the second bundle throws in Madden 17 instead. According to Microsoft, there will be limited supply of the 1TB Halo bundle.
All three bundles are available to pre-order on the Microsoft Store. We’ll update this article when more Canadians retailers add the bundles to their websites.
40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One, the Xbox One S adds support for 4K video output, as well as both HDR video and game output. It also ships with a new version of the Xbox One controller that features a texturized rubber back and adds in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing Windows PC users to pair the controller with their computer without an additional USB dongle.
