Back on the Canadian home front, the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) released its 2016 fiscal report, which showed $253.1 million CAD in venture capital investments, up from $185.4 million CAD last year. The TMX group also announced that it is funding an independent working group to find ways for Canadian businesses to access growth funds beyond the early stages. Is more money need or is there another element to Canada’s scalability problem?
