90 percent of Note 7 owners plan to give Samsung’s latest smartphone a second chance

Note 7

Now that the dust has settled and Samsung has done a better job of explaining its Note 7 exchange program and makes sense, the company is slowly but steadily circulating faulty devices out of numerous global markets.

Contrary to what many may assume, Samsung says this fiasco hasn’t deterred the company’s most faithful customers, with 90 percent of Note 7 owners reportedly opting to receive a new device. Samsung’s exchange program gives customers the option to exchange their faulty Note 7 for a Galaxy S7/S7 Edge or full refund.

In terms of regional breakdown, Samsung says that 80 percent of customers in Singapore have exchanged the device. In Canada, Samsung Canada told us last week that 70 percent of Canadians have returned their phones. In South Korea and the U.S. however, Samsung says that “more than 60 percent” of handsets have been successfully recalled.

Of course ,this number doesn’t mean that those same customers will purchase future iterations of Samsung’s smartphones, though such a high return date is definitely a positive sign for the company.
