There are two kinds of social media users. Average users and, the reason for social media management platforms, power users.
It seems that the power users of the world have united around a common tool, as Hootsuite reaches 15 million global users. The Vancouver based company is now claiming to be the largest social media management platform in the world.
Of those 15 million users, Hootsuite also states that between 800 and 1000 of them are Fortune 500 companies, the platform is available in 16 languages and is used in 175 countries.
This comes just weeks after HootSuite hosted Connect via Hootsuite, the world’s largest online social media conference attracting 22 thousand registrants from 136 countries.
“What was once the focus of a small number of enthusiasts inside an organization, today social media is at the heart of the digital strategy of the largest and most successful businesses,” said Penny Wilson, chief marketing officer at Hootsuite.
“Hootsuite makes social media approachable for all businesses, including those in regulated industries, government or higher education. Every day, we see companies use our platform in unique, innovative ways to engage with their customers.”
Other platforms like Hootsuite include TweetDeck, Sprout Social, Buffer and Zoho Social.
