Back at the end of January, Sony announced its new ‘Glacier White’ PlayStation 4 Slim. Initially set to only come to Japan and several European markets, the console is now making its way to Canada through a new Call of Duty bundle.
Priced at $379.96 CAD and available exclusively through Wal-Mart, the bundle includes a 500GB PlayStation 4 console, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and a matching DualShock 4 controller.
Sony’s new PlayStation 4 is 25 percent lighter than its predecessor. The company has also managed to reduce power consumption by 34 percent.
One thing to note is that there’s a trade-off the PlayStation 4 ‘Slim’ makes in favour of a smaller footprint. Unlike the launch PS4, the Slim does not include an Optical Audio Port. For most people, this won’t be an issue. However, if you have a complicated audio setup with an older receiver, then the new PS4 may not suit your needs.
