After updating the Moto Z to Nougat late last year, Rogers has started to push Android 7.0 to Moto Z Play devices on its network, according to the carrier’s OS update schedule web page.
If your phone hasn’t sent you a notification prompting you to update your Moto Z Play to Nougat, you can manually check for the update by launching Android’s settings menu and navigating to About Phone > Software Update.
Android 7.0 adds a number of enhancements to the excellent base Google built with Marshmallow, adding features like split-screen multi-tasking, support for bundled notifications and enhancements to 6.0’s Doze battery saving feature.
If you’ve updated your Moto Z Play to Nougat, tell us in the comment section.
On a side note, Rogers still indicates it will push Nougat to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge soon.
