Boston Pizza introduces the ‘restaurant of the future’

Boston Pizza recently announced the reopening of location on Front and John St., in Toronto on March 31st, but its new design will feature leading industry technology.

The location became corporately owned one year ago, and with the relaunch, will serve as a model for the brand’s new prototype.

Some of these new features will include a pay-at-table feature through the MyBP app, the DineTime app that allows users to view wait times at Boston Pizza locations near them, and courtesy phone charging outlets with USB ports located at tables and bars throughout the restaurant.

In addition to some technological upgrades, the flagship will include a cleaner exterior design, and a modular, flexible interior design that can be altered depending on the size of the group visiting.

The kitchen will focus on energy efficiency, especially in high-volume urban locations, and this particular location will have a separate entrance off John St. specifically for those picking up take out orders.

Boston Pizza’s next urban project is slated to open this summer at Yonge St. and Gerrard in Toronto, as well as in the Edmonton Ice District and Ottawa’s Glebe neighbourhood.
