Uber recently released an update to solve one glaring problem experienced by many a rider.
Sometimes, pickup locations get skewed, causing riders to send their driver somewhere other than where they are. As a result, said driver could cancel the ride and lower the customer’s rating, causing them to wait even longer.
A new update to the app will allow users to modify their location even after the driver is already on their way, which provides a way to salvage botched ride requests.
To use the feature, simply tap the Edit tab next to the pickup location and drop a pin wherever you’d like the driver to pick you up instead. Drivers will be alerted of the change through a push notification.
This feature is rolling out to iOS users today in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.
