According to LG and New Balance, Android Wear 2.0 is coming to the LG Watch R, the LG Urbane and the New Balance RunIQ.
LG says these smartwatches will receive Android Wear 2.0 “this week,” though it did not confirm a specific release date for the software. LG also says that the LG Urbane 2nd generation will receive Android Wear 2.0 at the beginning of May. New Balance, however, has confirmed its wearable will receive Android Wear 2.0 by Friday April 14th.
According to New Balance, with Wear 2.0 the the RunIQ has improved GPS and Bluetooth connectivity when connected to an iOS device, as well as the ability to use the Google Play Store when not connected to Wi-Fi.
Currently Android Wear 2.0 is available on the LG Watch Style and the Watch Sport. It’s also available for the ZTE Quartz and can be downloaded on the Fossil Q Founder and the Tag Hueur Connected.
However for Moto 360, Asus Zenwatch 3 and other wearables, there is currently no word on when they will receive the Android Wear 2.0 update.
