HTC has released a new ad about its upcoming ‘squeezeable’ smartphone the HTC U11.
If you were expecting new information in the ad, sorry to disappoint because it’s just a montage of people squeezing a variety things ranging from an avocado to biceps.
The ad shows a glimpse of the smartphone in a blue metallic colour, which isn’t new as HTC’s last “save the date” ad featured the device in the same colour.

HTC plans to unveil the U11 on May 16th and the company really wants you to remember the date as this is the second ‘save the date’ ad it has released. According to past rumours from leakster Evan Blass, the handset will feature a 5.5-inch 1440 x 2560 pixel display, which makes it smaller than the HTC U Ultra but with a better pixel density.
The device will also feature a Snapdragon 835 chipset, superior to the HTC U Ultra’s 821 chipset, 64GB of expandable storage and most likely the same 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and 16-megapixel selfie camera as the U Ultra.
Most importantly, the device will have a squeezable frame allowing for short or long squeezes to launch different apps on the device.
