Nintendo sheds light on its schedule for E3 2017

Nintendo Switch with Grey Joy cons - Nintendo E3 2017

Nintendo has revealed its schedule for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 and it seems set to be just as lacklustre as previous years.

At E3 2016 Nintendo’s event was rather boring. It featured very little Pokemon related news and a lot of Zelda: Breath of the Wild; It just didn’t hold up against Sony’s or Microsoft’s press conference.

Last month the Japanese gaming company announced that it doesn’t plan on holding a traditional conference like its competitors, so we already knew not to expect very much Nintendo at E3 2017.

The makers of the GameCube will kick off their  E3 festivities with a ‘Nintendo Spotlight’ on June 13th at 9am PT/ 12pm ET. During the spotlight, the company plans to present its Nintendo Switch games for 2017, such as (hopefully) Pokemon Stars, Splatoon 2 and Mario Odyssey.

Following the Nintendo Spotlight, the Japanese company is set to hold a Nintendo Treehouse: Live event, featuring Nintendo Switch and 3DS gameplay. Finally, Nintendo will hold Splatoon 2 and Arms tournaments throughout the 13th and 14th at its Nintendo E3 booth.
