The National Football League and Twitter have announced the start of a new multiyear streaming partnership that will see the NFL create exclusive video content for the social media platform.

The highlight of the deal is a new 30-minute live show that Twitter will air five days per week during the NFL season. Featuring personalities from the NFL Network, the show is set to include coverage of breaking news, highlights, fantasy projections, team power rankings as well as pre-game updates.

“From Major League Baseball to PGA golf, esports, to NBA basketball, Canadians have never had more options for live streaming sports content on Twitter,” said Christopher Doyle, head of sports at Twitter Canada, in a statement to MobileSyrup. “With our new NFL partnership, Canadians will get to see even more sports content during the football season and offseason alike. And for our Canadian brand partners, we’ve already had discussions about NFL live streaming opportunities through our Amplify program.”

The deal is one of many Twitter has signed in recent weeks. At the start of the month, the San Francisco-based company announced plans to launch a live 24/7 news channel with Bloomberg later this year. The company also revealed 12 other content partnerships that involve a variety of big name brands like the NBA, Viacom and Live Nation.
