Google will reportedly announce Assistant as a standalone app for iOS soon, according to Android Police. The site says the tech giant may make the announcement this week at its I/O developer conference.
Specific details weren’t revealed, but the app is presumed to be a mix of both the chat-style version of Assistant in Google Allo and the voice-controlled service found on Android.
The report notes that the app will only be available in the U.S. at launch, with no word on possible releases in Canada or other countries.
In related news, French Canadian language support was recently added to Assistant in Google Allo.
