The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s mobile ticket scanner app is now available to download for free on iOS and Android. With the app, officially called “OLG Lottery,” Ontarians will be able to do the following:
- Scan tickets to check results
- Check OLG gift card balances
- Verify winning numbers fromĀ Lotto Max, Lotto 649, Daily Grand and more
- Be reminded of jackpots
- Search for nearestĀ OLG retailers
Tickets will still need to be purchased and redeemed atĀ OLG retail locations, however.
The app launches in time for this week’s massive $55 million CAD Lotto Max jackpot. Alternatively, there’s a $7 million prize for 649 and $1,130,000 for Lottario.
It’s worth noting that theĀ Western Canada Lottery Corporation, the OLG equivalent for certain other provinces, has offered a mobile app with similar functionality since last year.
The WCLC serves Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and The Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. The app is also available on iOS and Android.
