Google has published factory images for its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL but, despite the late date, neither feature the October security patch.
The images were mislabeled as featuring the October patch, but those who flashed the update soon found that it contained only the September patch.
In fact, the build numbers published today are identical to those on non-updated Pixel 2 devices, so it seems the posting may have been a mistake on Google’s part.
Meanwhile, Google’s older Pixel and Nexus devices have already received the October update.
