The two modular devices Motorola brought to Canada last year are now on sale at Staples for significantly less than their initial sticker prices.
The mid-range Moto Z Play, which received positive reviews for its long-lasting battery life and near stock Android UI, is now $379.99 CAD outright — a substantial discount from the $650 price tag the device launched with last October.
Meanwhile, the hyper-thin, Snapdragon 820-toting Moto Z is $489.99, reduced from an initial price of around $900 at most carriers and retail outlets.
The deal compares well with the prices at other outlets. Walmart and NCIX are currently offering the Z Play for $700, Canada Computers is charging $600 and at Newegg the handset is priced at $545.
As for the Z, Walmart is carrying it at $950, NCIX at $1,000 and Newegg at $868.
Most of the carriers where the device first launched now no longer carry stock.
The sale is available via Staples.ca only and expires October 31st, unless stock sells out before that date.
