Netlink Computer Inc., better known as NCIX, has filed for bankruptcy, according to court documents filed by the company on December 1st, 2017 with the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
While the computer hardware-focused retailer has yet to issue an official statement on the matter, its online store remains up and running. That said, it’s likely best to avoid buying anything from the company at this point.
The bankruptcy filing comes after NCIX announced in September that it planned to restructure its business to focus on online sales.
Shortly after that announcement, in November 2017, the company closed its B.C.-based retail locations. Just months prior, in July 2017, the company closed all three of its Ontario-based retail locations.
Linus Sebastian, a former NCIX employee, details some of the internal politics that he believes lead to the company’s downfall, in a YouTube video.
