There’s some good news for Vancouverites looking for food delivery options.
The popular delivery platform UberEATS — a subsidiary of ridesharing giant Uber — officially launches in British Columbia’s largest city today.
As of 10 am PT, residents of Downtown Vancouver, East of Blenheim Street, North of 33rd Avenue and West of Nanaimo Street will have access to UberEATS.
The company has partnered with roughly 130 restaurants in Vancouver, including Glory Juice Co., Vera’s Burger Shack and Juke.
“We are very excited to bring UberEATS to Vancouver,” said Dan Park, general manager of UberEATS Canada, in a December 6th, 2017 media release. “With local favourites like Glory Juice Co., Vera’s Burger Shack and Juke, UberEATS offers a wide selection of food options, all conveniently available in one place and delivered fast and fresh.”
UberEATS first launched in Toronto in December 2015, before expanding to other cities including Ottawa, Montreal and Calgary.
