The Samsung Galaxy S9 will sport the same 18:5:9 aspect ratio found in the Galaxy S8, according to a report from Dutch website GalaxyClub.
According to the site, the reason for the decision stems from Samsung looking at maintaining uniformity across its smartphone line. It’s worth noting that the next line of mid-range Galaxy A phones are also reportedly set to sport 18.5:9 displays.
Instead, the main difference between the S8 and S9 is likely to be in the size of the device’s bezels, with the newer smartphone set to likely feature even a smaller frame. The screen-to-body ratio is reportedly set to be as high as 90 percent
Other recent reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S9, which is reportedly codenamed ‘Project Star‘ internally at Samsung, could be revealed at January’s Consumer Electronics Show.
