Microsoft has yet to officially announce the dates for its annual Build developer conference, though it looks like a leaked invite has already appeared online.
According to a tweet by Microsoft enthusiast ‘WalkingCat,’ who according to Windows Central has a “solid track record when it comes to leaks,” this year’s conference is set for May 7th to 9th, in Seattle, Washington. The Twitter user says they found the invite online when asked by Oren Novotny, Principal Architect of BlueMetal Architects and previous senior developer technology specialist at Microsoft.

Build typically has a heavy developer focus and is where the American company reveals its plans for its operating system. It’s likely Microsoft will unveil new features for Windows 10 and Windows 10 S, possibly new Cortana functionalities, software updates to its Edge browser, enhancements for its Bing search engine, and also its future plans for mixed reality.
If the leak is correct, Microsoft Build will share the spotlight that week with Google’s annual I/O conference. This year Google I/O takes place from May 8th until May 10th. This means that the conferences will overlap with one another. Google I/O, similar to Build, focuses on the company’s artificial intelligence software, updates to its operating system and what Google is doing with augmented and virtual reality.
