The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has announced that it will be holding a media lockup in Quebec on Thursday, May 31st where it will release a digital report on future distribution models for programming in Canada.
The event will begin at 9:30am ET and run until 11am, at which time the report will be published on the CRTC website www.crtc.gc.ca.
The report is the result of a request from Canadian Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly and Minister of Innovation Navdeep Bains.
The ministers requested that the CRTC to look at how new models will support the creation and distribution of Canadian programming in both official languages in September 2017.
