Moving forward, Rogers customers who take advantage of the carrier’s Roam Like Home service will see the country and local time zone to which they travelled to reflected in their monthly bill, the company announced on its official community forums on Monday.

In addition, provided customers own a smartphone that is supported by the carrier and they have the necessary firmware installed on their device, they’ll also be able to seamlessly switch between Wi-Fi and VoLTE voice and video calling.

In the same post, Rogers also announced that its Extended Coverage service is now available in Nunavut. When travelling in Yellowknife and 25 other communities in Nunavut, Rogers customers will be able to take advantage of Qiniq’s network to stay connected with their friends and family. There’s no additional fee associated with Extended Coverage, though to use the service to maintain a data connection, customers must enable roaming on their device.

Rogers first launched Roam Like Home in 2014 under then CEO Guy Laurence. At the time, it was only possible to use the service as a Share Everything customer travelling to the U.S. Since then, the daily roaming package has expanded to include more than 125 international destinations. It’s also available to Fido customers through Fido Roam.
