While some users are still waiting for the Pixel Buds’ Bluetooth stability issue to be solved, Google has launched a fix for a static hissing concern.
Some users have noted that when audio isn’t playing, there’s a faint hissing sound in the background. It’s unclear how widespread this issue is, but it’s significant enough for Google to launch an update quickly.
Firmware ‘version 296’ is slowly rolling out to those with Pixel Buds.
Though the issue is obviously frustrating, it’s great to see Google fixing problems before the wireless earbuds are available globally. It’s still unclear when the Pixel Buds will launch in Canada.
