Ahead of an official reveal from Google later this year, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro’s wallpapers and colourways seem to have leaked.
The wallpapers and colours are said to have been leaked by an internal source inside Google. All the wallpapers and device-exclusive colours can be found via a Google Drive link. Within the folder, full-resolution versions of the wallpapers are available.
It appears Google is again working with photographer Andrew Zuckerman for its Pixel 8 series wallpapers. Typically, Google offers a different theme each year. For example, the Pixel 6 featured a floral theme dubbed ‘Bloom.’ Last year’s Pixel 7 was ‘Feathers’, and this year’s looks like it’s ‘Minerals.’
Thanks to the files within the Drive, we can determine the wallpaper names and colours available for the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro.
These include the following:
Pixel 8
- Haze
- Jade
- Licorice
- Peony
Pixel 8 Pro
- Jade
- Licorice
- Porcelain
- Sky
It’s worth noting that some of these options may not be available at launch. Given the release of Pixel 8 is still months away, many of these wallpapers may change prior to launch. Additionally, the names of the several colours could also change.
In related news, Pixel 8 display specs may have leaked ahead of an official reveal. This week, a report stated the Pixel 8 will feature a 6.17-inch screen. The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, might include a 6.7-inch display.
